Standards Commission's Regional Roadshows

16th August 2017

The Standards Commission for Scotland is planning to host 4 events across Scotland later in the year.  All Councillors, whether newly elected or experienced, are invited to attend one of these free events.  The sessions will be taking place as follows:

5 October 2017 – INVERNESS

Council Chambers, The Highland Council Headquarters, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness, IV3 5NX

9 November 2017 – AYR

County Hall, South Ayrshire Council, County Buildings, Wellington Square, Ayr KA7 1DR

20 November 2017 – EDINBURGH

Council Chamber, City of Edinburgh Council, Edinburgh City Chambers, 253 High St, Edinburgh EH1 1YJ

15 December 2017 – GLASGOW

Satinwood Suite, Glasgow City Council, City Chambers, George Square, Glasgow G2 1DU

The Roadshow will begin at 10.30am in each location, with tea and coffee available from 10am, and it is anticipated that each will last no longer than two hours.  The intention is to have an interactive session where the provisions of the Councillors’ Code of Conduct and how they should be interpreted are discussed along with case examples.

To reserve a place at one of the sessions, please either contact the Standards Commission for Scotland at enquiries@standardscommission.org.uk or the Council Monitoring Officer.  Suggestions of topics for discussion are invited from attendees and these can also be submitted directly or via the Monitoring Officer at the time of booking.
